  1. La tele (part 1) WALT: to talk about tvprogrammes and express whether you like them or not • WILF: • Grade E - detailed description of tvprogrammes, opinions and justifying them • Grade D – Grade E + what you are going to watch at the weekend • Grade C – Grade D + what you watched last weekend

  2. Copy the vocabulary below and translate into English

  3. Now write your opinions for each of the programmes in Spanish Remember to use complex opinions and justifications for Grade C and above Remember: Me gusta/encanta + singular Me gustan/encantan + plural

  4. Listen to the exercise and note down in English the type of programme and the time it is being shown 1. Sports programme / 8pm 2. Police series/ 10.45 3. Game show/ 3.15 4. Documentary (about teenagers and alcohol)/ 9.15 5. soap/ 5.30

  5. Read the texts and complete the table in English

  6. Read the texts again and try to note at least 2 extra details in each text Example: 1. like “Gavin and Stacey” best, actors are excellent, every episode funny, makes her laugh.

  7. Read the following table and translate the adjectives into English Explain to your partner how and why the 4 columns differ These adjectives are essential for justifications Grade booster!

  8. Write about 3 programmes that you like and 3 that you don’t like & say why you like like or don’t like them Use the structures to achieve higher grades

  9. Deberes / EXTRA: • Task: • Create a TV guide in Spanish • Write a paragraph describing the TV guide • You should include the following: • Name and type of Programme • Times and days • Description of the programme with adjectives • Your opinion and reason • Future tense eg I am going to watch Voy a ver… • Past tense ( describe yesterday’s TV usingVí) • Research: Spanish TV guides on http://www.laguiatv.com/programacion.php or http://www.rtve.es/television/
