  5. Which side of the heart is thickest? • Collect a heart diagram and stick it into your notes • The left side of the heart has a thicker muscular wall than the right side • Why do you think this is? • Chamber 4 has to pump blood all round the body whereas chamber 2 only pumps blood to the lungs
