  2. How to register for classes

  3. At the Towson website click on “Current Students”.

  4. Click on “Towson Online Services”.

  5. Enter NetID/Username and Password.

  6. Click on “Self Service”.

  7. Click on “Student Center”.

  8. Click on “Enroll/Drop”.

  9. Select a term.

  10. Enter the class number and click Enter, or use Class Search. Use Class Search if you don’t know the class number.

  11. Select the subject and click search. If you don’t know the code for the subject you want, simply click on the magnifying glass to the right of the subject box . Click “Look Up” and select the subject.

  12. Find a course section and click on the course information link.

  13. Review info including the course description and click “Select Class”. Course descriptions provide prerequisite information.

  14. Click “Next” to add class to your shopping cart.

  15. Click “Enroll” to add class to your schedule. You must first select the class or classes you want to add by clicking in the box to the left of each course, then click “enroll”.

  16. Click “Finish Enrolling”.

  17. Click “Add Another Class”. A red “x” indicates an error and the course was not successfully added.

  18. Tips for Searching for Classes. At the Class Search screen, use “Additional Search Criteria” to narrow your class search by day, time, instructor, etc. You can also search for courses by GenEd category. Select GENED.

Additional Search/Registration Tips • Special Permissions: Some courses require departmental approval to register, these are identified by the notation such as "Department Consent Required" and other notes in the Class Schedule. Contact the department for the course requiring department consent, and request approval. • If necessary, you may make changes to your schedule until midnight of your registration date. After your registration date has passed, July 28 is the first available date you can make necessary changes to your schedule.

Degree Progress Report Tips • Your Degree Progress Report (DPR) outlines the requirements for which you are currently enrolled, have already satisfied, and have yet to complete. • Use your DPR to track your academic progress; review your DPR each term before and after you register for classes. • Print a copy of your DPR and bring it with you to your advising appointments.

  23. Click on “Other Academic” and select Degree Progress Report, then click the blue arrow.

  24. Select the only option in each drop-down box and click “Go”.

  25. Review your Degree Progress Report. Your Degree Progress Report (DPR) outlines the requirements for which you are currently enrolled, have already satisfied, and have yet to complete. Review your DPR each term before and after you register for classes.

  26. Review your Degree Progress Report. Outline of transfer courses and total transfer credits. Outline of Towson courses and GPA.

  27. Review your Degree Progress Report. Completed category. If a category is highlighted in red , it hasn’t been completed.

  28. Review your Degree Progress Report. Remaining units and an outline of all courses applied to your degree. The total includes course in progress.

  30. How to Declare Your Major

Access the Change of Major Form There are several different ways to access the Change of Major/Minor Form: • At the TU homepage, click on Current Students > Registration > Changing Your Major/Minor. • At the TU homepage, type “change major” in the search box. Click on “Changing your Major or Minor”. • Log into Towson Online Services, click Student Center and click the “Change of Major “link under the Registrar’s Office box at the right.

  32. Change of Major/Minor Form Outline of major requirements. If a category is highlighted in red , it hasn’t been completed. Click on the hyperlink and enter your NetID and password.

When Completing the Change of Major/Minor Form, Remember… • Select not only your new major, but your concentration or track (if applicable). • Print a copy of the form for your records. • Allow 72 hours for your request to process. • Follow up with the major department regarding your advisor assignment.
