It is important because users trust search engine & having a presence in the top positions for the keywords the user is searching increases the website trust.

  3. What are Meta Tags? • Meta tags are snippets of text that describe a page’s content; the meta tags don’t appear on the page itself, but only in the page’s code. We all know tags from blog culture, and meta tags are more or less the same thing, little content descriptors that help tell search engines what a web page is about.

  4. Importance of meta tags Meta Tags are important because they can have a big impact on your click-through-rate. This is because most search engines will pull your Title Tag and Meta Description to form the snippet of data when your pages are listed in organic search results. Important parts of meta tags . Meta title . Meta description

  5. What is a meta title tag A title tag is an HTML element that specifies the title of a web page. Title tags are displayed on search engine results pages (SERPs) as the clickable headline for a given result, and are important for usability, SEO, and social sharing. Code sample <head> <title>Example Title</title> </head> Optimal format Primary Keyword - Secondary Keyword | Brand Name Optimal title length Google typically displays the first 50–60 characters of a title tag. If you keep your titles under 60 characters, our research suggests that you can expect about 90% of your titles to display properly.

  6. Meta Description What is a meta description tag? The meta description is an HTML attribute that provides a brief summary of a web page. Search engines such as Google often display the meta description—typically up to 160 characters long—in search results where they can highly influence user click-through rates.

  7. What is a sitemap Sitemap is basically the map that contain information of all located resource on a website. It helps users, as well as search engines, to easily explore a website for their required object. On the other hand it also helps them to improve their search (for user) and indexing experience (for search engines). What are different types of sitemaps? • HTML sitemap (written in Hypertext Markup Language) • XML sitemap (written in Extensible Markup Language)

  8. What is an alt tag An alt tag, also known as "alt attribute" and "alt description," is an HTML attribute applied to image tags to provide a text alternative for search engines. Where is an alt tag located? Alt text is contained within the image tag: <img src="myimage.png" alt="nike_air_zoom" />.

  9. What is mobile optimization Mobile optimization is the process of ensuring that visitors who access your site from mobile devices have an experience optimized for the device. Every year people spend more and more time on their mobile devices and tablets, but many websites still aren't designed to account for different screen sizes and load times. Mobile optimization takes a look at site design, site structure, page speed, and more to make sure you're not inadvertently turning mobile visitors away.

  10. What is an impression A link URL records an impression when it appears in a search result for a user. Whether or not the link must actually be scrolled into view or otherwise visible depends on the type of search element that contains the link, as described later. For example, here is a very basic search result that includes only one link: the title "The Complete Guide to Daffodils - Example.com". The URL pointed to by this link records an impression when the user opens the page containing this result (even if the result is not scrolled into view). Note that the visible link URL below the title is not a hyperlink and so it is not recorded as impression. (Also note that the visible URL is not necessarily the same as the hyperlink URL of the title).

  11. Google Analytics Google Analytics is a premium web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic, currently as a platform inside the Google Marketing Platform brand. What are interactions? Interactions are all the types of actions users perform on your website. They can be as simple as loading a page or something more specific like clicking a link or a video play button. With each user interaction on your website, the tracking code sends information to Analytics about your users and their interactions on your website. The information sent by the tracking code is called a hit.

  12. What is a hit? A hit is a URL string with parameters of useful information about your users which looks something like the code. Types of hits . Pageview hit: This is the most common type of hit sent to Analytics. It’s triggered when a user loads a webpage with the tracking code on your site. . Event hit: An event hit is sent when a user interacts with a particular element on your website. It tracks actions like clicking a video play button, a particular URL, a product carousel, or submitting a contact form. . Transaction hit: Also called an ecommerce hit. A transaction hit passes data about the the user’s ecommerce purchases such as products purchased, transaction IDs, and stock keeping units (SKUs).
