The WLCFS Christian Family Solutions Conference took place in Lima, Peru from May 29 to June 2, 2014. Focusing on "Healing and helping people in need through the ministry of Jesus Christ," WLCFS has a rich history of providing effective social services since 1965. In 2013 alone, they logged over 12,524 counseling hours, assisting more than 2,000 individuals. Their range of services includes marriage counseling, support for grief, and assistance with various mental health issues. History • Wisconsin Lutheran Child & Family Service (WLCFS) has a long tradition of • “healing and helping people in need through the ministry of Jesus Christ.” • Since 1965, WLCFS has been the social service agency for the WELS/ELS community, affiliated with, but not financially supported by, either synod.

  4. Current • Stats • Provided 12,524 counseling hours (helping over 2,000 people) in 2013 • 15 counseling clinics • 29 WELS/ELS counselors on staff

Healing & helping • Christian Family Counseling • Helping individuals and families with: • Stress and adjustment disorders • Marriage and couples counseling • Grief and loss • Parenting and family issues • Depression • Substance and alcohol abuse • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) • And many other issues

  6. Unique aspect • Member Assistance Program (MAP) • Reach individuals anywhere • Video counseling • Through our churches, schools, and districts • MAP has already provided services to over 1,300members of over 250WELS/ELS congregations
