  2. Rationale • Want to provide access to the latest real-world tools • With our Class of 2011, it would be more difficult to update later than starting with Vista

  3. Test lab • Donation of Dells allowed us to create test environment • Daily use for the last 2 months of school • Vista Enterprise with KMS, Office2007 and other typical software inc (Adobe Reader, Quicktime, Flashplayer, SynchronEyes,

  4. Deployment • Tablets for incoming 1:1 class (approx 230 Gateway E155 tablets) • Teacher tablet refresh (80 Toshiba M400s) • Upgraded 10 Toshiba M4s (thanks to MEEC) • Why didn’t we buy the same device for all?

  5. Challenges • Students creating files – working at home • Sending files to board members and other outside constituents • New layout – remind users not to look for items in the same place • Printers – drivers not available
