  2. Welcome to the solar cell buggy. Before you explore the buggy, make sure you know how it works…

  3. The motor and drive mechanism The croc clip switch (shown in the switch off position) A capacitor is used to store energy DC power socket

  4. Take care: don’t have the hot lamp too near the solar cell. Minimum distance is 10cm. Storing energy. Energy from the lamp is transferred by the solar cell into the capacitor energy store. >10cm Note that switch is off (croc clip disconnected)

  5. The solar cell buggy with drive circuit complete. This buggy is rolling… Switch closed. Energy is being transferred from the capacitor.
