FAO Language Distribution • Over 26 Different Foreign Languages Spoken • - Including 12 of the 14 “immediate investment” languages on the 2010 DoD Strategic Language List: Arabic, Chinese, French, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkic, and Urdu. Currently, we have no FAOs who are proficient in Pashto or Hindi (or other Languages of India)

  10. Reserve FAO Update • Program Authorization was signed 13 OCT, 2010 • Conducting billet acquisition. Anticipate ~30 billets will be changed to RC FAO in FY11 • Conduct first accession board of ~30 Officers concurrently with AC lateral transfer board in June 2011 • RC FAOs will serve in the Maritime Partnership Program units and units supporting Major, Navy, and COCOM staffs • Community Size Targets • One to Two Years = 30 • In Four Years = 100+ Overall – On Track to meet both this year’s goals and desired end state by FY15
