  2. History • Invented in 1974 by Ernő Rubik • Rubik sold the license to Ideal Toy Corp. and won German Game of the year in 1980. • As of January 2009, 350 million cubes had been sold worldwide

  3. How it Works • The 3×3×3 Rubik's Cube consists of 6 faces, each with 9 colored squares called facets • A solved cube has all of the facets on each face having the same color. • There is 519,024,039,293,878,272,000 possible arrangements of the facets. • But only 1 solution!
