As a future stakeholder of this country, how important is reading to the health of a democracy like ours? • To what extent is technologyfostering intelligence or ignorance? • What have we become more (or less) intelligent and ignorant about? • If a society is literally falling apart morally, politically, and/or economically, is there hope that society can recover? If so, who, what or how can hope be restored? If not, why not?
