  3. Promotional Literature and the New Look • We have been phasing in the new logo on our materials in a priority order. • We now have the new logo and I have sent files for this new logo to each member of AdCom. As soon as practical, please update web sites, conference literature etc etc with this new logo. • We were forced to use the old literature for the SCINT conference in China in April and just enough of the new literature was printed with the old logo to meet the deadline for the next conference, IPAC, also in China but in May.

  4. New This Round • Why Publish with IEEE? • Why Organize Your Conference With IEEE • Local Activities with Distinguished Lecturers

  5. Booth • All three sets of banners will have new inserts with a new, fresh, design and the new logo. • In addition, the table drapes that we use for the information and membership table has also been re-designed and the new ones are seeing their first service here at NSREC. • New member ribbons are on their way from the printer but they were not in time for this conference and so will have to wait for the Fall.

  7. Booth • Pens and other promotional giveaways are being used and are, apparently, very popular. We will need to refresh the supply later this year. • The other possible give-away would be mugs but these get a little costly and ones not given out would really have to be returned.

  8. Distribution • The IEEE warehouse has worked well and we will continue to use the French storage and shipping company. • Up to now the literature has been shipped from the printers directly to conferences including their sending the 2-year European supply to the French shipping company. The balance was sent to the IEEE. • So far we have distributed materials and booth to 6 conferences, SCINT, IPAC, ANIMMA, SOFE, PPPS and NSREC. Coming up are PAC, ICALEPCS, RADECS and NSS/MIC.

  9. Distribution • I have a request from our new Egyptian Chapter for a considerable quantity of literature, holders and pens and this is being discussed as it exceeds the amount we sent to any conference in the last year save our two largest ones. • I do note that all our North American conferences are being held in California this year and all but one will be held in the Bay area.

  10. Booth Support at Conferences • This is a new topic for this report but conference organizers have to give our Information and Membership booth prominent placing. • Typically this will be next to registration booths but certainly in a high-traffic area at the start and during the meeting. • We have had refusals to even place the booth and distribute materials as well as being placed in a position only a little better than a broom closet. This for OUR meetings, fully sponsored. • We will be reporting specifics on past meetings in the future.

  11. Membership • The updated charts are attached. • We see the normal annual progression although one might say that there is a slow downward trend in the membership after the February non-renewal cut-off. The peaks measure our success in getting late renewals and membership try-outs at low or no cost. However, membership is one measure. Others are the impact of our publications and conferences on the communities we serve.

  12. Membership New TAB Hall of Honor • Nomination form on-line • Made as simple and direct as possible • Need references • Submit to Paula Dunne • Contact Peter Clout (p.clout@ieee.org) or Paula Dunne (p.dunne@ieee.org) with questions

  13. Membership New TAB Hall of Honor • Nominations and references due August 9th • Hoh Committee reviews and makes recommendation • TAB votes on consent agenda (unless removed) at November meeting • Web site loaded
