  4. Manufacturing Activities EIL is the largest manufacturer of cables in the Caribbean - producing cables to British, American and Dutch standards.

  5. Manufacturing Activities EIL is the largest manufacturer of fluorescent lighting fixtures in the Caribbean with UL listing and product certification. 60% of plant output sold to the US market.

  6. Manufacturing Activities EIL has the widest range of PVC manufactured products including pipes, fittings, water/septic tanks, pails/buckets, traffic barriers.

  7. Distribution Activities EIL is the representative for major lines of Electrical and Plumbing suppliers. These include: • General Electric • Leviton • Power Logic by Schneider • Lucy Switchgear • Mueller • Cambridge Brass

  8. Distribution Activities EIL has an additional manufacturing facility for custom built Electrical Switchgear. Products include: Panelboards Motor Controllers Switchboards Metercenters

Chronology of Standards EIL became one of the first ISO 9001 certified companies in the Caribbean – the first in Trinidad and Tobago Implementing HSE system, prepared for the assent of the OHS Act of T&T, achieving UL product listing giving access to Canadian market UL product listing for THHN wires UL Certification Tray Cables 1994 2005 2003 2004 2002 2009 2008 Upgraded to ISO 9001:2000 by UL, implemented a Waste Management and Waste Treatment for all effluent discharge RvA (Netherlands), RAG, (US) and UKAS (UK) accreditation BASEC Certification for BS cables and switchgear KEMA (Dutch market), UL for NMB cables
