How will ACA improve the situation Incidental stories to support your position Homework: Readings (notes for grade) continue research. • Vocab and 10 essentials due • Background (Ms. Healey Sullivan) (notes are for grade) • Groups assigned • Hmk: Watch YouTube segments and take notes. Watch with family for extra-credit. • Opposition • Find the “wrongs” (cost? Coverage? Misinformation?) • Concentrate • Incidental stories • Be prepared to challenge the ACA • Look for alternatives • Concentrate on what is best for your age group.

From Your Instruction Sheet The Presentations • Committees: Each Committee will research the needs, problems, current coverage, average costs of current coverage, advantages to ACA • Each member will be prepare to present material. You will be expected each to present at least 90 seconds. Your group has a total of 5-8 minutes. • Upon conclusion, questions will be asked. Each class member is expected to question or respond at least once. (30 pts)

  6. The After Hearings Questions • 1. What was your original opinion of the ACA? • 2. Has your opinion changed? Why/ why not? • 3. What do you know NOW that you didn’t know before about the ACA? What particular points “stand-out” in your mind on the discussions that were held? • 5. Do you feel that (political) opinion gets in the way of people making sound decisions? (explain) • Answer the questions honestly and thoroughly. • You write little, you get little. (20 pts)

  7. The Essay I expect a well written essay— the full meal deal. (50 points worth!!) • Attention to detail • Proper form • revision Is the Affordable Care Act something that the U.S. should embrace or is it too much government forced into the lives of Americans.
