The Provisional BioBrick Language (PoBoL) is a structured data format designed for information exchange in synthetic biology, facilitating the modular and dynamic modeling of biological components. By ensuring compatibility and extensibility, PoBoL enhances the collaboration of diverse authors, allowing independent evolution of BioBrick components. It is structured based on the Standard Biological Parts Registry, with specific terminology and seven classes of BioBricks, including Basic and Composite types. PoBoL aims to represent and manage BioBrick information through semantic modeling and adherence to web standards.
