  3. What does the PSA do? • Summer Fete • Christmas Fayre and parties for the children • Family nights • Hallowe’en Party • Sports Day • Organise OLM lottery • Welcome to P1 parents on induction day

  4. What have we funded recently? • ICT Software • Edinburgh Science Festival Workshops • Transport costs for trips for the children • Christmas Parties (including a book for every P1 child) • Purchase of equipment, toys and boxes for the Playground Initiative • P7 Bibles/Korans – Leavers’ Ceilidh • Sports day • Football strips and trophies • First Communion cakes and certificates These are all items where your children get a direct benefit.

  5. What can you do to help? • Use your contacts and resources to make the extras possible; • Utilise toddler / nursery committee experience you may have; • Collect /Donate prizes for Raffles and fetes; • Tell us of any specific skills you are willing to share e.g. baking, computing even joinery!!; • Offer a few hours for one of the events – before/during/ after; • Help organise an event; • Give some suggestions – ideas that have worked elsewhere – ask your friends on other PSAs what has worked well; • Please give us your details if you can help in any way.

Registered Charity • The PSA is a registered charity – our charity number is SC041564; • We get financial benefits from this in that we can claim gross interest and we get Gift Aid for sponsored events and donations; • We can also apply for grants and funding that we would not be able to if we were not a charity.

  7. What are the Top Priorities for 2013/2014? • Raise funds through our organised events; • Increase membership and knowledge of the PSA; • Get more of a sense of belonging and community involvement in the PSA – everyone is most welcome; • Help the transition to our new campus in any way we can; • Get a new committee for next year.
