Mrs. Willis • Earned a BS in Education from Emporia State University • Taught Elementary for 12 years First, Third and Fifth grades • 6th year at Northwest • Also teach U.S. History with Mr. Agderian and one hour of Study Hall • Married 20 years and have two sons, Caleb and Noah, and one daughter, Brooke

  4. Mrs. Moles • Attended Colorado State University, BS in Biology • Masters in Education • 11th year of teaching • Married and have a 5 year old , Delilah and 3 year old, Audrey

Biology I Description • This is an introductory biology course that will cover topics such as: • Biochemistry • cell biology • Ecology • Genetics • Evolution • plant / animal systems • I will teach by notes, activities, labs, readings, computer aided assignments, individual and group work, class discussions, and journals • My lessons are based on the SMSD and KS state curriculum standards and the collaboration with colleagues in the department

  6. Materials • Students are required to keep a 3 ring binder or folder for this class • Students must also have pencil, paper, planner • Online text book: http://my.hrw.com/

  7. Biology I Grading Policy

  8. Late Work • Late work is accepted for a 20% deduction of points • Students may be required to serve a homework detention if they have 2 or more missing assignments – we will call you if they have a detention • Students are welcome to work with us after school until 3:20 or during seminar

  9. Absences • Students have 2 days to make up work for every excused absence • If a student is absent for 2+ days, call to have work picked up in office. Email me to find out assignments or check Web Back Pack • Attendance is very important, please make every effort to make sure your student is in class • 993-7245 is the number to call
