  3. VNNIC – .VN Registry • Directly under Ministry of Information and Communication of VietNam (MIC) • Current staff: 75 people • Main office in Ha Noi • 2 branchs in Ho Chi Minh city and Da Nang City

  4. New leader • Since July 2011 • Mr Hoang Minh Cuong (hmcuong@vnnic.net.vn )

  5. .VN Update • Total number that was delegated: 261.112 domain name • Provide name directly .vn with catagories of second level domain name include: .com.vn, .net.vn, .gov.vn, .biz.vn, .org.vn, .ac.vn, .health.vn, int.vn, .pro.vn, .info.vn, .name.vn and .provincesname.vn • Registrar system with total 15 entities include 5 oversea and 10 domestic organisation.

IDN .VN update • Free open from 28 April, 2011 • Provide under .VN (name-invietnamese.vn) for exp: hànội.vn • Blooming development with total more than 500.000 current domain name that was registered. • Directly distributed by VNNIC not via registrar system. • Registran can freely to register online via http://dangky.tenmientiengviet.vn

  8. Upcoming activities • Suggest APTLD to conduct a training cource for local Viet Nam attendees. • Looking for a new EPP System for .VN management.
