LIN2 + BI Trajectory • New BPMs • LT.UMA10, LT.UMA20, LT.UMA30, LT.UMA40, LT.UMA50, LTB.UMA10, LTB.UMA20, LTB.UMA30, BI.UMA00, BI.UMA10, BI.UMA20, BI.UMA30, BI.UMA40 (*4), BI.UMA50 (*4). • Installation planning established, all installed by end February • Analogue electronics ordered, expected 20/2-2014. • Limited accuracy ( S11, calibration), W.C. error <3% . Error to be quantified and improved <1% • Cables pulled, still to be checked. • Cabling of cards and racks, Ethernet L2 • Tests • RF modules for LO, clock and reference frequency ordered (RF-group, end February). Responsibility? • Clock and IF distribution module under development • Digital acquisition system installed • Software to be tested, but should be OK, same as L4 • Position per ring. PSB, PS WCMs • PSB R2 WCM: • Old leaky device repaired and tight. Installed Tuesday. • Manufacturing of 2 new devices (Titanium) at CERN failed, new solution to be found. • Manufacturing of 1 pc by external company very delayed due to “theft”, new delivery date 28/4. • Replacement vacuum chamber on stock, but must be modified. • PS WCM03 (*2): • Delayed (AP), installation date depends on electrical test and vacuum tests. • One ready for electrical tests • Will probably have to start with old WCM • 1000T firmware delayed, hope to start work soon • Ghost and satellite detections: • Analogue + digital parts ordered • Relay control still to be defined • FESA class?? PSB extraction trajectory • New BPMs • BTP.UES10, BTP.UES20, BTP.UES30, BTY.UES120, BTM.UES00, BTM. UES10, BT.UES10 (*2), BTP.UES00 • Installation planning established, all installed by end February • 20 new head amplifiers ready for installation • Burndy connectors to be changed • All OASIS signal cables removed by CO • New calibration hardware and acquisition system installed. • FESA class being tested. PSB and PS orbit and trajectory • PSB “old” orbit: • New dsc, same CPU • New timing ordered, CTRV • To be tested • PSB “new” trajectory and orbit (BTMS) • System controller computer and acquisition crates are installed in BOR, with new TMS software. Works with raw data and beam seen with 3 Pus. • Analogue signals still to be connected. • FESA class and FE TMS software clones of PS system. • PS TMS • 3 new WS PUs installed, PU54has developed short circuit, changed this week. Cabling and pre-amplifiers ready. The head-assemblies are ready in the lab. • System OS (Linux) updated to new version (same as PSB), Still some bugs to be fixed. • FESA class to be re-compiledand tested • Extra WS PUs to be integrated TB on proton injector start-up
Summery • Everything's going to be all right, but….. • Clarify OASIS situations and requirements • Limited accuracy on L2 beam position, optimize and estimate accuracy • Clarify the responsibility of L2 BPM RF signals • PS WCM’s delayed, unclear when they can be installed. • PSB WCM, installed but alignment problems, no spares for the moment. TB on proton injector start-up
