  2. HOW IT ALL HAPPENED Evang. Dr. Charles Price spoke the followings prophetic words to Demos in 1944; “Demos, I will not be here to see it, but you will witness one of the major events foretold in the Bible. Just before Jesus returns to earth, God’s Spirit is going to descend on all flesh, and laymen will be the most important channel through which He will work.” Demos became convicted in 1951

DEMOS’ OBSERVATION TO ORAL “I picture a group of business men who tell other business men what they’ve experienced in God – men who might not be interested in what a preacher says, but who will listen to a plumber, a dentist, a teacher, service personnel, lawyer or a salesman because they themselves are plumbers, dentists, salesmen etc.”

  4. The 1st Meeting Venue: Clifton’s Cafeteria, California, USA Speaker: Oral Roberts Guests: Spirit-filled businessmen Oral Spoke for 20 minutes and prayed; “Lord Jesus, let this Fellowship grow in Your strength alone. Send it marching in Your power across the nation AND around the world” Amen!

The Near Collapse Several months of frustration followed that 1st meeting Then came Friday December 28, 1952 night when Demos saw the prophetic visions that led to the birth of our great Fellowship while in earnest prayer. While Demos was seeing the visions his wife spoke in tongues and she interpreted them as ff:“My son, you are in the center of My will, I am leading you by your hand. Look not to the left nor to the right, but continue in the way in which you are going.”

  6. Today FGBMFI IS IN 163+ NATIONS AND STILL COUNTING OVER 10,000+ CHAPTERS ALL OVER THE WORLD MEETING EVERY SATURDAY OF THE YEAR 1ST TO MEET IN HOTELS, RESTAURANTS ETC PLATFORM FOR ALL SHADES OF BELIEVERS HOLDING NATIONAL, REGIONAL & INTERNATIONAL CONVENTIONS EACH YEAR

REQUIREMENTS FOR A NEW CHAPTER • IDENTIFY COMMUNITY: AREA, CITY, TOWN ETC • IDENTIFY DECENT MEETING PLACES • (HOTELS, RETAURANTS, CONFERNCE ROOMS ETC) • HAVE 2 TYPES OF MEETINGS IN MIND (WEEKLY, MONTHLY) • 4. START A CORE GROUP 10-12 CHISTIANS WHO WOULD SHARE IN THE FGBMFI VISION • 5. GET THEM INFO ON THE VISION AND CHAPTER OPERATIONS • 6. GET THEM TO MEET AND PRAY REGULARLY • 7. YOU CAN USE 1 0R 2 MPOs TO KICK-START THE CHAPTER • 8. FOLLOW THEM UP AND GIVE THEM EFFECTIVE DISCIPLESHIP • USING THE FGBMFI MATERIAL FOR NEW MEMBERS • 9. TEACH THEM ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT • 10. BAPTISE THEM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT TO EMPOWER THEM

  8. REQUIREMENTS FOR A NEW CHAPTER 11. INVOLVE YOUR FR, ND-REGION, ND-OUTREACH 12. ORGANISE SERIES OF FGBMFI TRAINING FOR CORE GROUP 13. ORGANISE 2 OR 3 TRIAL OUTREACH MEETINGS 14. ELECT INTERIM OFFICERS; TEACH THEM THEIR DUTIES 15. GET NATIONAL OFFICE APPROVAL FOR INAUGURATION

  12. REQUIREMENTS FOR A NEW CHAPTER CHARACTERISTICS OF FGBMFI • MEET IN HOTELS, RESTAURANTS, CONF. ROOMS ETC • LAYMEN OF DIVERSE PROFESSIONAL/VOCATIONAL BACKGROUNDS • DON’T PREACH, SHARE TESTIMONIES (TELL THEIR STORIES) • MEETINGS MUST BE BUSINESSLIKE • A FELLOWSHIP NOT A CHURCH • DOESN’T DUPLICATE CHURCH ACTIVITES • PRAYER, HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM VERY IMPORTANT • HOLD BREAKFAST, LUNCHEON, DINNER MEETINGS • DRESSING – FORMAL OR TRADITIONAL • SPEAKERS AND TEACHERS (4:1 – Laymen : Preachers)

DISCIPLESPLESHIP/NEW MEMBERS CLASSES This must be taken very seriously Each new Member must be given a copy of “Now that You have Received Christ” by the chapter Use that booklet “Now that You Have Received Christ” for the Discipleship/New Membership classes Teach them the Vision, Mission and Objectives of the fellowship before they are registered Teach them also “who a FGBMFI member is” Before registration each must be taught and baptised in the Holy Spirit Each new member must be made to acquire copies of “Super ALTS” and “ The Happiest People on Earth”

  17. Your Personal Ministry Sharing your experience and testimony Witnessing and Invitation Encouraging and strengthening others Becoming a blessing to others Giving Praying Supporting FGBMFI activities and growth Attend chapter, Zonal, Regional, National & International conventions, training etc

ELECTION OF OFFICERS(CHAPTER LEVEL) Elections are held annually – October each year The Sector F/R supervises these elections November and December are used to prepare the New Executives to take office in January the following year The elections are based solely on prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit Ladies do not vote or hold any executive positions presently Ordained ministers also do not hold any executive positions Only registered members (men) for that year can vote All members qualify to stand for any office of their choice except new believers National Office must be furnished with the details of the elected Executives by the middle of November

  20. OUR MANDATE The mandate from God is that we BREAK THE CHAINS OF BONDAGE in the world. Our mandate is to DESTROY THE ISOLATION OF LONLINESS, and LINK THE WORLD TO GOD!
