  2. FPC Prototype • Flexible Printed Circuit or FPC is the electronic component which is actually developed to assist the electronic devices to become lighter and smaller. These components are usually made up of polyimide material or copper material. The layers of the FPC Prototype are assembled with pressure sensitive adhesive. The flexible and defined circuitry is bonded to thin dialectic film. Being three dimensional circuit, you can shape up the prototype in multi planar configuration.

  3. FPC Fabrication • The chief advantage of FPC is improving reliability, attaining more impedance control, saving space and weight and reducing the use of more mechanical connectors. It is comprised of variety of materials or techniques very much suitable for various applications. The FPCFabrication can be multi-layer, single or rigid-flex. There are various considerations determining the use of materials.

  4. Different Kinds of FPC Prototype • Single sided circuit comprises a singular conductive layer and is flexible and simplest type of circuit flexible in nature. Since they are not that expensive, they are available in volumes. It is used for dynamic flexing application like the disk drive head and the printer. • There is also the double-sided circuit that cannot be employed for dynamic applications. The copper material gets fatigued easily. The base material is CCL which has high heat resistance or good stability. The inner and outer conductor of double sided PCB is flexible and the multilayer PCB which is flexible attains the electrical connection of wiring in varied layers of metallization. • The plastic flexible PCB is another type where the substrate of flexible PCB is connected with the use of glue that is used widely. • The non-plastic flexible PCB has copper coils connected by the pressing machine. The non-plastic one is more flexible and is the fabulous combination of substrate and copper foil. It is mainly flat padded.
