    1. Rodman Manufacturing Lab The Rodman Manufacturing Lab brings to the Quad City area of Illinois/Iowa, manufacturing and engineering expertise of the University of Iowa, Western Illinois University, Northern Illinois University, and Black Hawk College. Along with these organizations, engineers and technicians from area companies develop, educate, and implement new manufacturing systems, procedures and technologies.

    2. Rodman Manufacturing Lab Located in 50,000 SF of recently renovated Manufacturing space on the third floor of Building 220. Designed to encourage and facilitate collaboration between research, manufacturing, and educational institutions within the Illinois/Iowa Quad City region. It will develop and implement technological innovations, improve manufacturing processes, and further conduct research, development, manufacturing and innovative leadership training.

    3. Rodman Manufacturing Lab Lease high tech lab space and machinery for product development Provide materials and engineering services Training and apprenticeship/mentoring programs Prototype Development Focus on fabrication of items using titanium, composites and carbon fiber Direct link to the Three Rivers Manufacturing and Technology Consortium. Develop a Cooperative Research and Development (CRADA) between a private company and a government agency to work together.

    4. Rodman Manufacturing Lab $1.3M appropriation for Titanium fabrication currently in Senate Defense Bill for Lab. Evaluate latest advanced equipment and processes. Select a military project as pilot. Survey commercial applications.

    5. Rock Island Arsenal Development Group Exclusive authority to lease under utilized manufacturing space. Modify space to meet tenants needs. Lower the cost of ownership for the government Utilize existing skilled workforce by commercial firms. Demonstrate innovative business practices and serve as lab and model for future defense conversions.
