  3. Reasons why school needs to be reformed • Educational inequality between students • High drop rate from upper secondary schools

  4. Evidences of the problemscompare with Finland • International Adult Literacy Survey • US: 20.7% of adult scored level 1 (very poor skills) • Finland: 10.4% of adult scored level 1 • High Drop Rate (Upper Secondary School) • US: 25% to 30% • Finland: 6%

  5. Possible Solutions for Reforming • Creative and Interesting Curriculum • Game activities • Relatable with real world • Field Trips Students get motivated!

  7. Continued… • Teachers’ involvement • Offering after school classes for students who fell behind • Qualification of sub-teachers Decrease inequality!

  9. Conclusion Reforming School environment is one of possible ways to reform American school system. We have to start moving forward to provide better learning environment for students.
