  3. Congratulations to the soccer team, they defeated Penn Hill last night in double overtime. The winning goal was on a penalty kick by Amber Nolf with 1 minute remaining. • The JV won their match by a score of 2-0.

  4. The JV volleyball team defeated Peters Township last night 2-0. • The varsity team played a tough match but lost 1-3. • The Eagles take on Gateway at home today. Come cheer the team on, JV begins at 6. • Good luck girls. 

  5. Congratulations to Emma Doerfler Emma has been selected as a National Merit Scholar Semifinalist.

  6. Forté • Forté Art and Literary Magazine will have it’s first meeting on Thursday, Sept. 12th in Room 208 • Plan to stay from 2:45 to about 3:15 • If you have any questions, please see Ms. White, StephKambic, or Maria Navarro • All are welcome to join!

  7. The First Campus Ministry Meeting for the year will be September 12th in the lecture hall from 2:45 - 3:30.   Please plan to attend!  

  8. MASQUE • Auditions for Masque’s fall show will be held this Thursday, September 12th. • They will start at 3 pm in the P.A.C at Central • Any grade may audition, please sign the tentative sign-up sheet on the door outside the music room JG01

  9. Interested in being a part of this fall’s musical? Interested in set construction, painting or lighting? Then come join stage crew! There will be a meeting for anyone interested in being a part of stage crew this Thursday, September 12th at 3:00, in Central Catholic’s cafeteria

  10. JOA Theater Group's next meeting will be on Tuesday 9/17.  Come and join us for a session in improvisation and acting skills.   • Let's see and hear you as we get ready for our next production!

  12. Freshman Mixer at Central All Oakland Catholic freshmen are invited to attend the Central Catholic Mixer on Saturday, September 14th from 7 – 10pm. There will be dancing, music, food and refreshments. The cost is $5 and includes pizza and pop. Remember to bring $5 and your student ID.

  13. O C O C what's our yell?  Calendars, calendars, sell, sell sell!  What better way to spend the day off tomorrow than to sell your 5 calendars.  Be sure to get them sold before next Wednesday and get entered in for the raffles.  See Mr. Kornosky or Miss Teeters for any questions.

  14. JOA Society of Scholars ALL JOA SENIOR Scholars are to report to Mrs. Kasunic, Room 208, Friday morning, September 13 at 7:45 am

  15. All Art work from last semester may be picked un in JM09(Studio II) • Any work not claimed by Friday, September 13 will not be available.

  16. Attention seniors: If you attended  the Kairos Retreat last year and are interested in being a Kairos Leader this Fall, please pick up an application from Ms. Farrell or Ms. Dorrie.  

  17. The 47th Annual Duquesne University College Fair will be held at the A.J. Palumbo Center on Sunday, October 13th from 1PM to 3PM Over 150 colleges and universities will be in attendance.  This is a great way to meet with representatives from a variety of schools No registration is required.
