  4. Requirement • Go to school every time – roll call. • Practice theory and quicklab. • Examination: 30% test, 70% test final

Getting Started • Software that will be used (Windows or Linux): • DB2 Express-C 9.5(has 9.7). • IBM Data Studio 1.1 • Download and unzip (but do not install) from: www.ibm.com/db2/express (downloads tab) • Book & Exercises accompanying the book: Getting Started with DB2 Express-C (FREE online book) • Download and unzip from: www.ibm.com/db2/express

IBM DB2 Certification FREE • DB2 Elite for Academics Program FREE Certification: • Exam 730, DB2 9 Fundamentals (DB2 Associate Certification) • Students who pass can post their resume in the IBM Academic • Initiative Student Opportunity System (SOS) • Preparation/Study material is included as part of this free program
