Number of mandays • Depending on the information on the PAD • Is displayedat the end of the PAD • Time needed to perform a decent assessment • Is a guidance for the assessed company, the assessor, the user and the evaluator. • The assessor shall be questioned if time used for assessment differs from the man day table. • Most assessments stay at 2 days • Always 1,5 – 2 - 2,5 – 3 – 3,5 - … days

General rules • Normally the 5 km rule stays valid • Combining assessments are possible if : • Same BU assessed for different questionnaires (as before) • Subsidiaries/operating sites (as defined) are assessed in the same cycle (new) • An assessment cycle (from the first day of the assessment till the last operating site /element) : maximum 30 days

Operating sites • We consider an entity as a operating site if : • They have the same management system as the mother company. • The follow-up of the management system is performed centrally (internal audits, management review, goals, improvement plan, … ). • HR and training is managed centrally • Selection and evaluation of subcontractors are done centrally . • Purchase of equipment is done centrally.

  15. Combinedassessments A « zero » on a question at an operating site can influence the outcome of the total company assessment.

Intermediateassessments • The upload of improvement plans and adding comments to each individual question will still be possible. • A company can ask for an intermediate assessment (or validation of improvements by same assessor) within the validity period of the original assessment (three years). • This assessment is done by the same assessor as the original assessment.

  18. Intermediate assessments • The pre-notification and assessmentprocessis the same as for a full assessment. (withadapted documents). • The assessedcompanydecideswhatchapters of the questionnaire willbere-assessed. But the original report canbeused as a « starting document ». • The time used for thisinterdmediateassessmentdependsupon the chapters to bere-assessed.

Pre-Assessment Document (PAD) • As mentioned before the new assessments will be based on a Pre-Assessment Document (PAD). • The PAD will be distributed as a ‘protected’ Microsoft Excel template (.XLT) to the assessed companies via a downloadable file posted on the SQAS website. • The PAD will be available in multiple languages.

  27. Transition period • ‘Old' questionnaire reports must be submitted with the current SQAS Assessor software. • ‘New' questionnaire reports must be submitted with the NEW Pre-Assessment Document and NEW SQAS Assessor software.

Transition period • System available as from 1 April 2011. • Assessable questionnaires in English version available as from 1 April 2011. • Otherlanguages (German – French – Spanish – Italian – Dutch) as from 1 July 2011. • During the transition period of three months both the old system and the new one can be used. • After 1 July 2011 only the new system is available.
