  1. Insect Control Spectrum of AERISTM Seed-Applied System

  2. AERIS™Seed-Applied System • AERIS™ Seed-Applied System offers broad spectrum protection with an insecticide, nematicide and an optional premium fungicide. • Only the AERIS Seed-Applied System offers growers the added flexibility of choice in whether they want to add a premium fungicide. • Base Fungicide Package (Baytan/Thiram/Allegiance) • BCS Premium Fungicide Package (TRILEX Advanced) • Other Customer Offers

  3. AERIS™ Seed-Applied System Combines the broad spectrum activity of two products – imidacloprid and thiodicarb in one powerful combination. • Imidacloprid: • Systemic neonicotinoid insecticide with excellent activity against thrips and aphids. • Thiodicarb: • Systemicand contact carbamate pesticide for added protection from thrips, aphids, cutworm and plant protection from early-season root-knot and reniform nematode damage.

  4. AERIS™ Seed-Applied System • Broad spectrum systemic insecticidal activity. • Two insecticidal modes of action. • Imidacloprid – Nicotinic Acetylcholine receptor agonists • (IRAC Group 4A) • Thiodicarb – Acetylcholine esterase inhibitor • (IRAC Group 1 A) • Equlivant Ratios • Imidacloprid: 0.375 mg ai / seed • Thiodicarb: 0.375 mg ai / seed

  5. Insecticidal components of AERIS™ Seed-Applied System- Imidacloprid • Thrips control – Imidacloprid as Gaucho Grande has consistently provided better thrips damage control and provided higher yields when compared to Cruiser over the last 3 years in head-to-head comparisons.

  6. 2004-06 Gaucho Grande Yield Summary(Yields of 20 University locations - % of Untreated) % of Untreated

  7. 2004 - 06 Gaucho Grande Thrips Damage Summary(Average of 20 University Locations)

  8. Gaucho Grande Seed Treatment – Proven Efficacy • Enhanced, extended protection against early season insects • Thrips • lowest thrips damage ratings • up to 30 days of protection • Aphids • 30+ days of protection • Plant bugs • average population reduction of 35% • Improved plant health

  9. Insecticidal components of AERIS™ Seed-Applied System- Thiodicarb Protection against insect attack on the seed and during the early seedling stage A second mode of action to assist in resistance management When combined with imidacloprid the residual control can also mean less early season insecticide sprays

  10. Thiodicarbas a seed treatment:Protects against many insect pests across a wide range of crops worldwide.

  21. AERIS Seed-Applied System • Best Thrips seed treatment protection on the market • Two insecticidal compounds • Systemic properties of both with protection into the foliage • Two distant mode of actions assists in resistant management • Healthier root system • Better uptake of nutrients and moisture • Best yields

  22. Competitive Comparison – Early Season Insects

  23. AERIS™ Seed-Applied System • AERIS Seed-Applied System provides the broadest spectrum of early-season nematode and insect protection of any seed-applied option. • Depending on local conditions AERIS™ Seed-Applied System provides • up to 28 days of thrips protection • up to 42 days of aphid protection • suppression of early season fleahoppers and plantbugs; • early season seedling protection from cutworm • up to 28 days of nematode protection for those with low to moderate populations.

  24. AERIS™ Seed-Applied System To learn more about the nematode control of AERIS there is a talk at 10:45 this morning, La Galeries 1 & 2 Aeris Seed-Applied System: A New Seed Treatment Nematicide with Activity Against Root Knot and Reniform Nematodes in Cotton from Bayer CropScience
