  2. APPEARANCE A dolphin has a smooth, rubbery body and a long bottle-like nose. It has a tail ,which is beautifully webbed at the bottom.

  3. HOME The dolphins' home is Warm water most of the time. Some varieties live in rivers. They do not build a structure. The return home a lot. Sometimes this water is in captivity They live at the shallow end

  4. DIET Dolphins are active predators and eat a wide variety of fishes, squids, and shrimps Dolphins do not chew their food. Usually they swallow fish whole.

  5. BIRTH A baby dolphin is called a calf. It takes 12 months until the mother dolphin gives birth. A female dolphin usually gives birth every 3 years, but they can have a calf every 2 years. Most calves are born May through July when the water temperature can reach 85 degrees Fahrenheit.

  6. ENEMIES dolphins' enemies are sharks. they cope with them by nudging the sharks in the gills when they are around.
