This meeting report discusses the analysis of atmospheric data from four ARCIONS sites during the summer of 2008, focusing on ozone budgets for Egbert and Goose Bay. The report highlights that Egbert's budget requires further fraction analysis and examines tropospheric ozone concentrations at Sable Island and Yarmouth. Notably, Sable Island recorded a significant increase in ozone levels from 2004 to 2008, while Yarmouth experienced its lowest mean levels in 2006. The report also outlines the next steps for further comparisons and data analysis to assess the impact of meteorological factors and forest fires on ozone measurements.

ARCIONS Data Alaina Luzik Team Meeting 30 July 2008
Summer 2008 ozone budgets for Egbert and Goose Bay. • Egbert budget still needs fractions.
Summer 2008 budgets for Yarmouth & Sable Island. • Tropospheric ozone concentrations at Sable Island during the spring were ~10 DU lower than in the summer.
Mean Summer Tropospheric Ozone • Sable Island’s ozone concentration increased by 10 DU from 2004 to 2008, when it reached 51 DU. • Yarmouth had it’s lowest mean ozone concentration in 2006 at 44 DU. The highest mean ozone concentration for Yarmouth was 49 DU in 2008.
Mean Percentge of Tropospheric Ozone for Sable (Spring/Summer 2008) & Yarmouth (Summer 2008)
What’s Next… • More comparisons between IONS 04/06 & ARCIONS for Yarmouth, Sable & Egbert. • Analyze met data (& anomalies) to determine how it may have influence mean summer ozone. • Determine how forest fires may have influenced IONS 04, IONS 06 &ARCIONS measurements.
