Retail • A large water and waste operator holding nearly 60% of the country’s market wanted to source new suppliers and reduce costs by implementing the reverse auctions for services being provided by various suppliers. A savings of about 30% was achieved on services in the very first reverse auction for the company.

  7. Retail • Europe’s leading office furniture manufacturer and retailer , also having interests in electronics, musical instrument manufacturing and corporate hospitality services used reverse auctions to streamline its tendering process and achieved significant savings from contract manufacturing suppliers.

  9. Manufacturing • A large infrastructure equipment manufacturer in existence for over 80 years migrated to reverse auctions for sourcing various components for its equipment manufacturing from competitive suppliers in Asia and South America.

  10. Services • Europe’s largest health services organization with a history of traditional purchasing practices for over 50 years used eTendering and reverse auctions for the first time in 2002 and moved to a paperless tendering system saving valuable time and direct savings of up to 50% on some medical supplies.

  11. Services • An international brewery company with strong positions in 15 countries in Europe and Asia and exporting to over 60 countries world wide, adopted reverse auctions for its transport service suppliers and saved a substantial amount in transportation cost.
