  1. Types of iron ore and mineral processing technology Shanghai Shuosen Mining Machine Co.,Ltd

  2. Iron ore is divided into magnetite quartzite, magnetite ore, hematite and hematite-magnetite ore, limonite, siderite, etc.Different types of ore, the processing technology is also different. m 1.Mineral processing of magnetite quartzite m

  3. Magnetite quartzite, or anshan type poor iron ore, which contains mainly magnetite and quartzthe, according to the magnetic properties of magnetite quartzite, generally use the major difference between magnetite and quartz magnetization coefficient for magnetic separation. m The separation process of magnetite quartzite is crushed to 25~15 mm through three to four stages, or broken to 350~250mm through one stage crushing. Through the combination of self-grinding and ball grinding (gravel grinding), three stage of fine grinding are carried out to enter multiple stages of magnetic separation. m The process of magnetite quartzite processing is characterized by adopting stage grinding and magnetic separation processes so as to discharge monomer gangue at the stage and reduce the grinding amount at the next stage. m

  4. 2.Mineral processing of magnetite ore m The magnetite ore belongs to skarn type ore, among which the main iron ore is magnetite and contains a small amount of sulfide mineral, accompanied by non-ferrous metals such as cobalt, nickel and vanadium, and the gangue is skarn. The ore is mottled, brecciated, banded and massive. The magnetization coefficient is similar to that of magnetite quartzite.Depending on the granularity of embedding characteristic, the ore can be divided into coarse ore, fine ore, micro fine ore and Super-micro fine ore. m

  5. According to the physical properties of magnetic ores, the most effective way of mineral processing is to recover magnetic minerals by magnetic separation and to recover associated sulfide minerals by flotation. The separation process is mostly two to four stages crushing. m And in the crushing process is equipped with one to two stages of dry magnetic separation, separation medium crushed or fine crushed products. For further deep separation products, two to five times of wet magnetic separation will be conducted through two to three sections of fine grinding. m The final iron concentrate products are obtained by the combination process of magnetic separation -- flotation or flotation -- magnetic separation. While improving the grade of iron concentrate, associated minerals can be recovered to become the corresponding concentrate products, as well as desulphurization of concentrate.Magnetite grinding is coarser in particle size and less in mudstone particle content, mud can be removed by magnetic separator. m The magnetic ores concentrator plant is operated according to the whole circulation water supply process, and the utilization rate of circulating water is 75% ~ 85%. m

  6. 3. Mineral processing of hematite and hematite-magnetite ores m hematite and hematite-magnet ores have a high proportion in the processing ores. m

  7. A.the beneficiation process of hematite-magnet ore. Nowadays, the process of magnetic separation-gravity separation, magnetic separation-flotation separation, or gravity separation-magnetic separation-flotation separation is mostly used.In some plants, hematite is recovered by gravity separation first. The magnetite is recovered from the tailings by magnetic separation. This can also be done by flotation separation (Norway's Lana) and electricity separation (Canada's wabash) or by sifting before the final stage of separation. The process of magnetic separation -- gravity separation: firstly, magnetite is recovered by magnetic separation with weak magnetic field, and then hematite is recovered by gravity separation. The process of magnetic separation-- flotation separation takes flotation separation as the main process of separating hematite and magnetite concentrate, coarse hematite and magnetite are recovered by gravity separation and fine magnetite by magnetic separation. For the dense crystalline hematite-magnetite quartzite, the gravity separation method is widely used for the separation of coarse embedded ore, and the strong magnetic separation or flotation is used for the separation of fine ore. For the hematite-magnet clay ore, the main use of washing or dry magnetic separation. m B.Mineral processing of hematite. m The method of washing, gravity separation, flotation, magnetic separation and baking magnetic separation can be adopted, or flotation and electric separation can be used as the concentration operation, according to different ore properties, composition of different forms of mineral processing process. When coarse ore or bulk ore is mixed with depleted materials, heavy suspension is used for ore processing. Some plants use jigging for granular ore, and for medium-fine ore by screw separator, or by strong magnetic separator. m

  8. 4. Mineral processing of limonite m At present, the combined process of washing, gravity separation and magnetic separation is widely used. m 5.Mineral processing of siderite m The main metallic minerals in the ore are siderite and a small amount of limonite, hematite, magnetite and ferric silicate.Non-metallic minerals are quartz and calcite, etc. m Siderite is not widely used in the world, but only in some European countries with less iron resources, such as the Czech republic, Poland, former Yugoslavia, Austria and other countries for large-scale industrial application. The main beneficiation methods of siderite are Roasting-Magnetic separation method and gravity method. m
