Research/Thesis/Dissertation Courses • M.S. students register for Thesis (CRSS 7300) and Research hours (CRSS 7000) • Ph.D. students register for Dissertation (CRSS 9300) and Research hours (CRSS 9000) • Loading of these courses by a single person (Vivienne) will facilitate the process and avoid confusion.
Minimun Number of Graduate Hours • The College has decided to request that all graduate students register for a minimum of 18 credit hours each semester. • Graduate students should register for research hours (CRSS 7000 or CRSS 9000) as needed to obtain a minimum of 18 hours. • Because each instance of CRSS 7000 or CRSS 9000 has a limit of 9 hours, students may have to add two instances of the course.
Courses for non-thesis M.S. under AgIdea • Master in Soil, Water, and Environmental Sciences by distance education. • Univ. Georgia, Auburn Univ., Clemson Univ., Univ. Kentucky, NCSU, Ohio State Univ., Texas Tech Univ. • Distance learning courses offered by UGA must go through standard approval process.
Courses for non-thesis M.S. under AgIdea • Graduate School allows a maximum transfer of 6 credit hours for an M.S. program. • If more than 6 credit hours need to be taken in courses from other universities, how should these courses be incorporated into Program of Study? • Create proxy course numbers at UGA? • Request Grad School to allow transferring more than 6 hours?
