  4. Why this 5DW • Gives Extra Energy to Faculty & Student. • Accommodates More time to prepare. • Facilitates to learn other courses. • Finds time to attend personal works. • Improves attendance. • Compensates a day with any unexpected holiday. SATURDAY & SUNDAY HOLIDAYS …

  5. 6DW Vs 5DW HOURS COMPARISION 6DW – HRS / WEEK 5DW – HRS / WEEK • 6 DAYS X 7 HRS • = 42 HRS./WEEK. • 5 DAYS X 8 HRS • = 40 HRS / WEEK. • *( 2 Hrs Less than 6DW)

  6. Compare for a month 6 DW- HOURS IN A MONTH 5 DW- HOURS IN A MONTH • HOURS IN A MONTH = (4 Wks X 42Hrs) =168Hrs. Less 7 Hrs ( 2ndsatday is holiday).  (168 – 7 )=161 Hrs. • HOURS IN A MONTH = • 4 Wks X 40 Hrs • =160Hrs./month. • 5dw is one Hr shorter to 6dw per month.

  7. HOLIDAYS PER WEEK 6DW: 5DW • EVERY SUNDAY & 2ND SATURDAY IS HOLIDAY. • All BUNDHS are holidays & cannot be compensated. • : Every Sat-day and Sunday are holidays. • All Bundhs can be compensated with following sat-day as working day.

STAFF - LEAVE POLICY 6DW EXISTING 5DW PROPOSED • 18 CLs PER YEAR. • Each leave worth =1/6 of “6Day-week”. 3x6day weeks=18 days. Hence 18 leaves in 6DW are equal to 15 leaves in 5DW. • 10 CLs PER YEAR, • Plus 5 MLs per Year which can be carry forwarded to next years if unused. • Each leave worth =1/5 of “5Day-week”.  3x5day weeks=15 days

  10. Salient features of 5DW. • Five day week. • Saturday & Sunday are Holidays. • 9 Am to 3.50 Pm. • 2 Breaks 10 minutes each. • Lunch break 30 minutes.

  11. 5DW features cntd… • 8Hrs X 45 minutes each. • Labs 2Hrs each. • Every day 6 subjects theory Hrs. • Extra slot can be used for Labs. • Break after Every 90 minutes.
