Be Part of a College Football Tradition The 2012 Oregon Civil War • The 2013 Civil War will be played on Friday, November 29 at Autzen Stadium in Eugene. • On Thursday, November 21 the Ducks and Beavers will face off in your cafeteria “Civil War Promotion”. • Students can cast their “vote” by choosing either a Duck or Beaver frosted cookie during lunch on November 21.

  3. Steps for the Civil War Promotion • Order BOTH Beaver (orange) & Duck (green) cookies for November 21’s lunch • Post signs • Decorate your serving line • Display cookies in team baskets • Promote the traditional rivalry • Take down and save materials

  9. Colorful Fruits and Vegetables Orange and green fruits/vegetables are being offered for salad bars and serving lines to help with decorating

  10. Create Excitement with a Beavers vs Ducks Bulletin Board

  11. Separate and Place Cookies in two Decorated Baskets or Containers.

  12. Enthusiastic Helpers can Promote Their Favorite Team

  13. Keeping the Civil War Score • Cookies are frosted according to teams • Orange for the Beavers • Green for the Ducks • Record the number of cookies in each basket • If you have an extra student worker, you can ask him or her to keep a running tally on the line during meal service on paper • At the end of lunch service count the cookies left in each basket report the number served for each team as the “final score”

  14. Remember to post the “Final Score” for all to see!
