It is a requirement that all students complete a graduation project in order to graduate. All presentations are to be presented to an advisor during the spring of junior year. Graduation Requirement
There are no graduation requirements in 9th or 10th grade! (Just start thinking where you want to shadow or do community service) 9th and 10th Grade
In 11th grade, students must complete their project. This includes their project hours, written reflections, visual component, and presentation. • It is highly recommended that all students begin their hours over the summer before the start of 11th grade. 11th Grade
GRADE 11 OPTION 1: • Career Research (Completed by April of Junior Year) • Shadowing Time Requirements MINIMUM OF 15 hours • Shadowing Log • Personal Reaction Page • Shadowing Interview Sheet Shadowing
GRADE 11 OPTION 2: • Community Service Completed by April of Junior Year • Volunteer Time Requirement MINIMUM OF 15 hours • Volunteer Hours Log • Personal Reaction Page Community Service
Presentation must include a visual component & 1 page reflection on Shadowing/Community service By: April/May Meeting Presentation
All students will conduct a mock interview with a member of the community during their senior year. Interview days are arranged by Mrs. Dennis • Students must bring an application and a resume with them to their interviews. • Students will complete their resumes and applications with their graduation advisors before the interviews occur in October. 12th Grade
GRADE 12 • Complete Job Application & Resume (will bring to interview) • Mock InterviewBy: September/October Career Preparation
Students: Absences will not be excused for students to complete shadowing and/or community service hours during the school day. • You must complete these requirements on your own time before or after school, on weekends, or on holidays. Unexcused
Any student who has failed to complete the presentation in spring of Junior year will lose junior and/or senior early release. Failure to complete the Graduation Project would also prevent a student from graduating. Failure to Complete
