Pathways to High School Math Success at Millry High School

Join us for a crucial presentation for 8th-grade parents at Millry High School, where we will explore the various math pathways available to students, including those starting with Algebra I in 9th grade and those who have completed it in 8th grade. Learn about the End of Course tests, college readiness, and the newly added Advanced Endorsement that includes Algebra, advanced sciences, and foreign languages. Our goal is to ensure every child receives a quality education and is prepared for a successful future, whether they pursue college or other paths.

  4. Pathway for Students who complete Alg I in Grade 8 • Geometry • Alg II w/Trig • Pre-Cal • Analytical Mathematics

  5. Exams: • AHSGE is no longer required for these students…..at this time there is no high stakes test required. • End of Course test will be taken. • Explore- taken in 8th grade • Plan –taken in 10th grade • ACT with writing taken in 11th

  6. Advanced Endorsement • Local LEA has added an advanced endorsement: • Requirements: • *Alg I – Pre Cal • * Advanced Sciences • * Foreign Language or A Career Tech Endorsement

  7. 4 year plan • Students are working on 4 year plan in the Career Prep Class: Our Goal is to make successful adults out of your children. Every child is not college bound. Every child, however, needs a quality education.
