  3. HOPE Next Exit Together, we will make a difference! www.newhopeforms.ca What is Multiple Sclerosis or MS? MS is a progressive disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. The body affects itself by scarring the protective coating around the nerves in the brain and spinal cord. Eventually, this impedes the nerve impulses sent from the brain.  Over 2.5 million people presently suffer from Multiple Sclerosis

HOPE Next Exit Together, we will make a difference! www.newhopeforms.ca What are some of the symptoms of MS? • Impaired mobility • Chronic pain • Chronic fatigue • Depression • Loss of bowel and/or bladder control • Impaired speech • Impaired sight • etc… * The suicide rate for MS sufferers in Canada is 7 times the national average

CCSVI or Chronic Cerebro–Spinal Venous Insufficiency is a condition which relates to compromised blood flow in the veins coming from the brain along the neck and upper chest. This restricted blood flow has been recently discovered to play a significant role in MS. Dr. Paolo Zamboni coined the term CCSVI or Liberation Treatment in 1997 after treating his MS stricken wife. The results were dramatic and remarkable.

CCSVI treatment is angioplasty used to free-up blockages or partial blockages of the jugular and asygos veins to correct this compromised blood flow. NOTE To date over 1,200 Canadians have travelled out of country, at their own expense, to undergo CCSVI treatment.  The vast majority of these MS sufferers have experienced a dramatic improvement in the quality of their lives after undergoing this treatment.
