Red Foxes. By me, Zac. Fast Facts. The female (vixen) has usually 2 to12 pups. When the pups are born they amazingly are brown or grey ! Their tail is 12 inches! That’s more than half of their body(18 inches)!

  2. Fast Facts • The female (vixen) has usually 2 to12 pups. • When the pups are born they amazingly are brown or grey! • Their tail is 12 inches! That’s more than half of their body(18 inches)! • They live in most of North America, some of Asia, and a little bit of Africa too. • It makes a sound like a “yip” when it is in distress.

  3. More Facts • Red foxes have a big variety of foods they will eat . They will eat small game , vegetables , fish, frogs, worms, and pet food , to name a few. • They mark there property by peeing near it • They use their tail (brush) to keep them warm in the winter and also as a signal • They change their color in the winter

  4. Help!!!!! • Red foxes are a endangered species and are being hunted! If you see one in the wild do NOT disturb it ! They are on the endangered species list ! If you encounter one in the wild you should: • Back away slowly • Tell someone if the fox is being hunted
