  3. Symptoms • Flat heads • Jerky movements • Protruding tongues • Inappropriate laughter • Absence of speech • Mental retardation

  4. Sex Linked or Autosomal • Angelman’s Syndrome is autosomal and is also recessive • Angelman’s Syndrome is both equally common in males and females

  5. How often does Angelman’s Syndrome Occur • About 1000 people in the U.S. and Canada have Angelman’s Syndrome • And also in occurs in all racial/ethnic groups
