  1. Attention, Attention If you are in 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade and you don’t know how to write a paragraph- than here is a little presentation for you!!!!!

  2. What is a paragraph? • It has a topic, main idea, and • 3 details that support the first sentence • A paragraph has 5 to 6 sentences. • Also paragraphs have a beginning, middle, and end

  3. How to construct a paragraph? • Need to indent • 5 to 6 sentences • Must stay on topic

  4. Remember When you write a paragraph, you must first decide on a topic, or main idea. Each sentence in the paragraph must support the topic.

  5. ……Continue • Each paragraph will have a beginning, middle and end • Also, when you write the paragraph, always indent the first sentence.

  6. Example of a paragraph What Pedi does outside Pedi loves to play outside. He loves to dig in the backyard and pull up grass. Pedi also likes to run and play. Sometimes , when I’m not looking, he will sneak over to the other side of the fence to play with our neighbor’s dog.
