3. What is a paragraph? • It has a topic, main idea, and • 3 details that support the first sentence • A paragraph has 5 to 6 sentences. • Also paragraphs have a beginning, middle, and end

4. How to construct a paragraph? • Need to indent • 5 to 6 sentences • Must stay on topic

5. Remember When you write a paragraph, you must first decide on a topic, or main idea. Each sentence in the paragraph must support the topic.

7. Example of a paragraph What Pedi does outside Pedi loves to play outside. He loves to dig in the backyard and pull up grass. Pedi also likes to run and play. Sometimes , when I’m not looking, he will sneak over to the other side of the fence to play with our neighbor’s dog.
