Selection Process • March 3-7 • PTA Board meet to examine community nominations • By March 7 • PTA Board forwards up to 2 names to Selection Panel • By March 14 • School Selection Panel considers employee and PTA nominations and selects the Teacher of the Year • March 28 • Announcement of UMS Teacher of the Year

Selection Criteria • Have taught at least 3 years and is a career educator • Has not failed a JPAS at any time in the past 5 years • Demonstrates his/her students are making progress • Demonstrates his/her support of CSD vision and goals • Demonstrates leadership skills and efforts to promote collaboration, student engagement, and community and family involvement
