  3. Seamless provision; Youth Guarantee Coordination of care; The child is in the centre; Nothing is ever done without involving the youth & parents; Inclusion of the social network; focus on well-being and not merely on risks. Best practices and the challenges the UBC member cities face regarding youth

  4. Best practices and the challenges the UBC member cities face regarding youth • Unemployment • Social exclusion • Influence on different arenas – lack of influence • Too much organized activities and too lest interest • Lack of resources • Youngsters are moving to bigger cities • Drugs, alcohol and other addictions • Lack of motivation and social skills

  5. Best practices and the challenges the UBC member cities face regarding youth • Unhealthy lifestyle • Miss match between schools and labor market • Lack of job experience • Need for more effective career counselling • Not enough co-operation between active and non-active youngsters (social inclusion) • Inflexible education system • Too much pressure on youth to be successful

  6. Good to keep in mind for the future funding period while talking about youth • The Baltic cities are very diverse in terms of many things • All young people are different and have different needs • In principal, all young people are not on equal footing • More support to quarters those who are working in the grass roots level and with and for the youth
