In April 2008, Manitoba's Healthy Living Division outlined the School Nutrition Policy's Reporting and Evaluation process, initiated in the 2007-08 school year. This includes an annual reporting system where schools assess their progress in fostering healthy nutrition environments and food programs. A series of school environment surveys, success stories documentation, and research into policy impact were implemented. Data from 206 schools across 12 divisions provide insights into adherence to Manitoba's Nutrition Guidelines and highlight ongoing qualitative research to evaluate the policy's effectiveness from various stakeholders’ perspectives.
