  4. There, their, they’re • You can read either here or there. • Words of location…here is in there… • That car is their car. That house is their house. I like their car, and Ilike their house. • Possessive pronouns…a pronoun like “I” • They’re going to move soon. They’re going to go to Barbados. • A contraction meaning “they are”

  5. Could’ve, Would’ve, Should’ve… • Contractions meaning “Could have”, “Would have”, and “Should have” • Even though is sounds like “of”, it is NOT!

  6. Its, and It’s • The dog was chasing its tail. • Possessive pronoun…never uses an apostrophe because… • The car alarm is going off. It’s annoying. • A Contraction meaning “it is”. This ALWAYS means “it is”.

  7. No Perfunctory ResponsesGive your best to get your best • A perfunctory response is an “assignment that looks as though it has been done in the cafeteria a minute before the bell...
