  2. What is an exclamation mark An exclamation mark usually shows strong feeling, such as surprise, anger or joy. NOTE:TEACH THE KID THE MEANING OF EXCLAMATION MARK.

  3. Usage of an exclamation mark Use an exclamation mark to indicate strong feelings or a raised voice in speech: Examples: She shouted at him, "Go away! I hate you!" He exclaimed: "What a fantastic house you have!" "Good heavens!" he said, "Is that true?" NOTE:TEACH THE KID THE MEANING AND USAGE OF EXCLAMATION MARK.

  4. Usage of an exclamation mark Many interjections need an exclamation mark : An interjection is a word added to a sentence to convey emotion. Examples: "Hi!What's new?" "Oh! When are you going?" NOTE:TEACH THE KID THE MEANING AND USAGE OF EXCLAMATION MARK.

  5. Usage of an exclamation mark A non-question sentence beginning with "what" or "how" is often an exclamation and requires an exclamation mark: Examples: What idiots we are!(We are such idiots.)
