Communication and Telecommunication Communication over long distances was a big problem back in the day where one had to wait for days, weeks, months to get some information or messages in form of letters and mails from their relatives or acquaintances from faraway lands. There were remote areas with next to no means of communication and people had to travel on foot or on available vehicles to convey any and every message available. This was also a big drawback when it came to emergency services as postal services took a lot of time and there was no easier way of communicating and asking for support from the authorities of any kind be it medical staff and facilities, natural disaster management or even the police.
