Recruitment and selection The University aims to recruit and select researchers with the highest potential to achieve excellence in research. 2.Recognition and value Researchers are significant participants in and contributors to the University’s success in research. 3.Support and career development Researchers must be equipped and supported to be adaptable and flexible in an increasingly diverse, mobile, global research environment. 4. Researchers’ responsibilities Researchers’ personal and career development are recognised and promoted at all stages of their career, and individual researchers share the responsibility for their own personal and career development. Researchers should pro-actively engage in their own personal and career development. 5.Equality and diversity Equality and diversity are promoted in all aspects of the recruitment and career management of researchers. 6.
