    1. Lets Pray Big Prayers

    2. 'Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.' Jer 33:3 (NKJV) I am the Lord your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. Psalms 81:10 (NKJV)

    3. God has power to give mighty answers to prayer and He delights to do so! The size of your prayer is no problem.

    4. Listen! The Lords arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call. Isaiah 59:1 (NLT)

    5. God is willing to answer prayer, so why not ask? But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house." 5Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. 6And He marveled because of their unbelief. Mark 6:4-6 (NKJV)

    6. 1. We need to pray big prayers because God invites us to do so. A. God is able. "For I am the Lord, I do not change; Mal 3:6 (NKJV)

    7. Dont give up. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. James 4:2 (NKJV)

    8. B. God is waiting. Jer 33:3 call unto me! I will show you great things!

    9. 'Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle will come to you, saying, "Buy my field which is in Anathoth, for the right of redemption is yours to buy it." Jer 32:7 (NKJV)

    10. C. God is invincible. So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. Matt 17:20 (NKJV)

    11. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, Eph 3:20 (NKJV)

    12. 2. We need to pray big prayers because of past big prayers that were answered in the bible. A. We cannot expect too much from God.

    13. On the day the Lord gave the Israelites victory over the Amorites, Joshua prayed to the Lord in front of all the people of Israel. He said, Let the sun stand still over Gibeon, and the moon over the valley of Aijalon. 13So the sun stood still and the moon stayed in place until the nation of Israel had defeated its enemies. Is this event not recorded in The Book of Jashar ? The sun stayed in the middle of the sky, and it did not set as on a normal day. 14There has never been a day like this one before or since, when the Lord answered such a prayer. Surely the Lord fought for Israel that day! Josh 10:12-14 (NLT)

    14. This was the greatest miracle of the Old Testament! Has God changed? NO!

    15. B. We should never give up. Elisha picked up Elijahs cloak, which had fallen when he was taken up. Then Elisha returned to the bank of the Jordan River.14He struck the water with Elijahs cloak and cried out, Where is the Lord, the God of Elijah? Then the river divided, and Elisha went across. 2 Kings 2:13-14 (NLT)

    16. C. God is eager to answer by prayer. Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, "Bring me another vessel." And he said to her, "There is not another vessel." So the oil ceased. 7Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, "Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest." 2 Kings 4:6-7 (NKJV)

    17. When Elijah prayed the fire fell. Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.17Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years!18Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops. James 5:16-18 (NLT)

    18. 3. We need to pray big prayers because of the blessings that will come. Small prayers are little faith in a big God.

    19. A. Big prayers show Gods power. Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. Mark 6:5 (NKJV)

    20. B. God wants us to move on to greater works. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father John 14:12 (NKJV)

    21. Opeople of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. He will be gracious if you ask for help. He will surely respond to the sound of your cries. Isaiah 30:19 (NLT)

    22. Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Isaiah 55:6 (NKJV)

    23. Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me." Psalms 50:15 (NKJV)
