The curriculum of a Master of Art Degree in Architecture is quite varied and covers different aspects of architecture. The first two years of the program focuses on studio work where students learn about basic drafting and designing skills. During this time they also gain hands-on experience through internships. Studio work teaches students how to create the different types of models and how to manipulate images to produce aesthetically pleasing results. Studio work is important in the competitive world of architecture and many successful professionals begin their careers by entering this phase of study. You can learn more at immersion program. The next stage of study is a thesis based on original research made by the student. The thesis requires the student to demonstrate their research and this is done by performing independent research or carrying out a participatory study within an actual building. Students are usually required to complete a number of supervised practicum projects in order to satisfy their thesis requirements. The master of architecture program at Harvard University trains its students to become leaders in the design, planning and building.

  3. One of the main factors that contribute to the success of an architecture student is the capability to communicate and relate with individuals from different cultures and backgrounds. Therefore, if an architecture student wishes to pursue a career in the field of academe, he/she must be able to communicate effectively. The programs offer various opportunities for cultural and social interaction. There is a strong emphasis on experiential learning in the architecture programs at Harvard University. In these programs students are provided the opportunity to gain work experience and enhance their academic credentials. You may find more details about this at learn by doing.
