  1. Overland Adventures John Oxley goes to explore west of Bathurst , following the Lachlan river . When swamps blocked his way, Oxley led the explores north and returned to Bathurst following the Macquarie river.

  2. Things You Need • Journal • Compass • Food • Water • First Aid Kit • Rope • Winch • Tools • Gun • Knife • Blankets • Tent • Clothes • Axe • Wood • Extra Petrol • Boots • Hats • Lanterns • Spare 20 Litre Tank • Rain coats Camp Petrol Stops

  3. Possible Problems • Getting Bogged (Winch) • Car Problems (Tools) • Weather Problems (Wet Weather Gear) • Injuries (First Aid Kit) • Sickness (Recovery Time, Medication) • Fallen Tree’s (Axe Winch) • Flat tyres ( spare tyre ,Jack)

  4. How Much Money Used • $1.25 Per Litre of Petrol. • Car Takes 80 Litres of Petrol at a Time. • I Estimate Petrol Would Cost approximately $210.00 • $500.00 emergency money • $200.00 for food • Total expenses:$ 910.00

  5. How Long Did Would it Take • The trip was approximately 520 kilometres. • It took approximately 15 litres of petrol for every 50 kilometres travelled. • It approximately took 5 • days.

  6. Season of Expedition • We will go in Autumn to avoid hot summer & bushfire season & also to avoid cold winter.
