  4. The user chooses a document he wants to read (in UNL-XML form.) The system reads the document, shows the languages versions available and abtracts the first phrase of each language version Browsing a document

  5. The use chooses the Arabis and the system shows the whole document in Arabic Browsing a document in user’s language

  6. A French reader found out some mistakes in the French text. He first selects the phrase he wants to correct, then he presses the button on the menu to enter the “edit mode”. To start the coedition procedure

In the edit mode, there are three frames: the top frame is the interface where the user can type in the correct translation or follow system’s guide to correct certain parts in the UNL graph; the middle frame is the graphic representation for users who are interested in tracing the procedure; the bottom frame can show different language versions before and after the correction, so that user can compare the result of his correction and the amelioration on the other language versions.   8. User can type in the whole sentence to correct his language version when translated sentence is too far wrong or difficult to correct. Of course, this will not reflect onto the other language versions. But the system should provide user with this flexibility. Manuel input

  9. The User chooses the word he wnts to correct and press the “to do” button, to pass the command to the system. Suppose he wants to change the phrase from “une cité” to “la cité” (from “a city” to “the city”). In this case, the user chooses the word “une (French feminin indefinitive article)”. Select the word to correct

  10. The system gets the word needed correctio from the user then proposes the user the possible corrections of this word. These possible corrections are calculated by the system from the correspondances that the system builds between the text and UNL graph. System proposes the possible corrections

  11. User makes his choice among the words proposed by the system. The system then correct the correspondant part in the UNL graph accordingly. User chooses the correct word

  12. The user can interact with the system and correct several words in a sentence until he is satisfied. The he requests the system send the new UNL graph to the deconverter by clicking the button “New Deconversion”. User asks for a new deconversion

  13. The deconverter returns the result of the deconversion of the new UNL graph. New deconversion based on user’s correction

  14. When satisfied with the new UNL graph, user can ask for the deconversion of other language versions and make the comparison of the other language versions. Improvement on other language versions

  15. Finally, this picture shows the correspondances between UNL graph and text. Observation of the correspondances
